Alpine Optoelectronics' proprietary nCP4™ Silicon Photonics PAM4 modulator platform developed in-house converts n-lanes of 56baud electrical input into n-lanes of optical output for use in 100-800Gbps transceivers to support high-speed extended reach data center interconnects (DCI) and high-density intra-datacenter connectivity. The nCP4™ design enables wafer level testing to streamline mass production, features a flexible yet efficient edge coupler that works with both lens coupling and fiber array attachment in non-hermetic packaging, and achieves high OE bandwidth capable of > 56Gbaud.
